Tecan Robots are renowned for their flexibility, robust performance, high technology. Their software makes it easy to automate routine lab work, and deck accessories include temperature controlled labware carriers, 96 or 384-channel pipettors, even Mag Bead separations with re-tipping.

The optional gripper (RoMa) can reach outside the Genesis footprint to feed a reader, access fresh labware, drop plastic into the trash can. The Freedom (and EVO) can accommodate a third arm, access integrated centrifuges, pipet nanoliter volumes.

 The Tecan Genesis comes in 1, 1.5 or 2.0-meter deck size. It will accommodate two arms, including a liquid handler and a gripper. It can also handle up to 8 independent liquid channels, which vary span to access any labware, and a low-volume option allows dispensing of minute amounts of liquid.

It integrates readily with plate readers and washers, and an incubator option can be accessed by the gripper. The Genesis 200 is a big boy, with a 2.0m deck. Even with a Te-Mo copying your microplates on deck, you'd still have room for about 20 microplates and reagent troughs.

Freedom and the newest robot, EVO, are both the same in spirit, with various technological leaps.
