Austomated System for Handling and Weighing Analytic Quantities of Particulate Ssubstances
Zymark, even since its merger with Caliper, is a fixture in the pharmaceutical process, R-n-D and automation field. They have a component purpose-built for just about every practical purpose in a laboratory, and the engineering and designs make for robust and high-thruput systems.
The Zymark Prelude Workstation performs sample handling such as solvent addition, sonication, sample transfer, mixing and dilutions. More advanced capabilities include density determinations and HPLC, UV/Vis injections for LC. The Prelude performs these functions in full compliance with 21 CFR Part 11. It looks like a fraction collector, which is one of its functions. But it collects and handles, reconstitutes and dissolves analytical quantities of just about anything you want to analyze: Powder, liquid, viscous liquid.
This Zymark Prelude includes an integrated weigh station, a vortexer/mixer, and a liquid handler for distributing sample. It looks like new, which it is. Our client bought it new for a project, set it up, and never used it. It was taken offline earlier this year.
