We just got this Cedex, with MS20C autosampler and PC, set up for Cedex1 software. This was recently decommissioned in a pharma lab merger. The Cedex is the first fully-automated cell counter based on the Trypan Blue Exclusion method. A 1ml sample is automatically stained and then processed through a microscope, and the unparalleled Cedex software identifies the cells, calls them dead or live, and issues a detailed report. This instrument will work for any cell type but yeast or bacteria, which are too small for resolution here. SF9 cells, CHO cells, heck- you can even homogenize your brat sister and... don't do that*.
