Qiagen Biorobot 3000: This is the perfect scenario. A well-run, well-funded laboratory at a major University has replaced their instruments for more capacity. It gets better: Qiagen robots are easy. Where some instruments require at least rudimentary automation experience, these instruments are ready to use. The programs are mostly canned. It should be ready to process your minipreps on installation.
This Qiagen Biorobot 3000 is ready. It is operational, and it's been well-maintained by a serious laboratory. (I've known this instrument and its humans since it was installed-JM.)
The main applications for these Qiagen robots is preparation of nucleic acid samples from cells, and this one is used also for cherrypicking. It has four liquid channels, a peristaltic wash pump, a vacuum pump for manifold use and lots of extra purification kits, parts and accessories.
Includes a plate chiller and two vacuum manifolds.
Liquid- sensing sterile filter tips available from Monster Laboratories.
