This little robot is the first easy-to-use lab robot for common lab applications Very basic and robust, and enormously popular lab robot. Hundreds of people know how to run them, and Beckman has largely preserved this very stable platform.
It requires a Windows PC, which we provide configured for the instrument, and some accessories. We provide a custom robot system, tailored to your lab's applications. Monster Laboratories plans to stock Beckman Biomek 2000 robots. We sell Biomeks ready to use, we install them, and we introduce your laboratory to the operating software, with at least one technician trained to use automation. Support is indefinite, and you get a warranty.
- Pipetting Tools aspirate and dispense anything across a range of sample types and formats.
- The Wash Tool is my favorite, it jets into via vampire needles and sucks out of, through painful-looking fish hook things, a column of microplate wells whatever reagent you want this requires a peristaltic pump,
- Beckman's Wash Unit. Perfect for Immunology Automation, preparing stacks of plates for ELISA.
- Perfect for vacuum filtration applications like DNA isolation, PCR Prep, Plasmid, Cosmid isolation, but in most cases you need a pump and a waste trap and a pump switch controller integrated. We used them for blood DNA preps for microarray. Others have used them to spot nitrocellulose membranes.
